What’s the craic?

I had the chance to live and work in Derry few years ago. It was an incredibly beautiful time, and I'm grateful I got to experience it all not just as a tourist. Thanks to my host family, especially Moira, my host mom, I was able to get to know the daily life and culture of the people in Derry, especially in the Bogside, up close.

Since then, I've felt very connected to this city and its people. I try to visit my "adopted" hometown as often as possible and take the opportunity to rediscover and experience Northern Ireland every time. It always feels like "coming home" when I'm in Northern Ireland, especially in Derry. I'm very thankful for all the incredibly beautiful times, the many experiences I've had over the years, and the people with their unique mentality and way of life that I've had the pleasure of meeting!
